acquired brain injury

Acquired brain injuries can be caused by a number of factors:

traumatic

brain

injury

aneurysm

brain

tumour

hypoxic

brain

injury

meningitis

or

encephalitis

A brain injury can lead to a wide range of effects. Many people recover after a minor brain injury however those with a more significant injury can experience a coma, a prolonged disorder of consciousness and/or a myriad of physical difficulties, behavioural and emotional changes, difficulties with cognition and memory and problems with communication.

Rehabilitation after brain injury aims to help the brain learn alternative ways of working in order to minimise the long term impact of the injury. It also helps the survivor and family to cope successfully with any remaining disability.

Fiona Stamper NeuroPhysio can help with this rehabilitation and see you in the comfort of your own home in Leamington, Warwick, Kenilworth and the surrounding areas. If you want to talk things through with Fiona please call her on 07598756462.
