Fiona Stamper NeuroPhysio aims to help any adult with a neurological condition to maximise their independence and reach their full potential. This could be a young adult who has recently been discharged from hospital with a traumatic brain injury following a car crash, a person newly diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease or Multiple Sclerosis or someone in their later years suffering a stroke. Your condition could have resulted in reduced balance, weakness to one side of your body, spasms and stiffness in your arms or legs or a combination of these. By completing thorough assessments, developing specific, targeted treatment programmes and and working with individuals to set realistic goals, Fiona Stamper Neurophysio can help you become more confident in your abilities.

how does neurological physiotherapy work?

while most neurological conditions cannot be 'cured', our brains have a huge capacity to learn or relearn. This is known as neuroplasticity. Neuro physio aims to use this neuroplasticity to re-train function that has been lost and to compensate for function that cannot be relearnt. Neuro physio also helps you to maintain strength, balance and movement that you already have to reduce further deterioration in progressive conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson's Disease.Neurological conditions not only impact on individuals but also their family members and friends. Fiona Stamper NeuroPhysio has a holistic approach and aims to involve family, friends and carers as much as possible in the rehabilitation journey.

what is the advantage of Fiona Stamper NeuroPhysio?

Going or a Walk

while we are lucky enough to have a fantastic National Health Service, unfortunately this service is becoming more and more stretched. Often, it is unable to provide the longer term or intensive specialist neuro rehab that can make a huge difference to individual's lives. Having worked for many years in the NHS, Fiona Stamper NeuroPhysio will signpost clients to NHS services if these are available to them and will work alongside NHS physiotherapy to provide more intensive input to get the best outcome for her clients.

Fiona Stamper NeuroPhysio can provide assessment and treatment in the comfort of your own home in Leamington, Warwick, Kenilworth and the surrounding areas. This means that you don't need to worry about travelling or parking and you can work on goals that are specific to your own environment.
